Oscilloscopes occupy almost every Electronic engineer’s workbench, and its popularity is destined to occupy an absolutely dominant market space in general Electronic test products, and it has become the focus of major electronic test instrument manufacturers. According to the China Electronic Instrument Industry Association, in the first half of this year, the export volume of Chinese local oscilloscope manufacturers took the lead for the first time, and it was the first time in history that Chinese local brands of oscilloscopes became the first in the first half of the year in terms of export volume! We can see that in the comparison of the total export volume of global mainstream oscilloscope manufacturers from 2013 to the first half of 2019, Dingyang has become the only company that has continued to grow, and has taken the lead in 2019.

As the most commonly used basic test instrument in the IT field, the oscilloscope helps engineers to capture, capture and analyze signals, and plays an important role in the “eyes of electronic engineers”. .
At present, the world’s mainstream oscilloscope R&D and production enterprises include domestic and foreign manufacturers such as Tektronix, Keysight, LeCroy, Dingyang and Puyuan. High-end oscilloscopes are mainly produced by Tektronix, Keysight, LeCroy and other foreign companies, with a maximum test bandwidth of 110GHz. Low-end oscilloscopes with a test bandwidth of about 1GHz are widely used in scientific research and production, education, maintenance and other fields, and have always been in great market demand.
In recent years, companies including Tektronix and Keysight have also scrambled to enter the mid-to-low-end oscilloscope market, and the competition in this field has become increasingly fierce. At present, due to higher cost performance, the production bases of almost all global brands of low-end oscilloscopes are located in China, and the global low-end oscilloscopes are basically focused on “Chinese exports”, and the share of Chinese local brands in overseas markets is gradually increasing.
According to the data provided by the General Administration of Customs, it can be found that in the first half of this year, the export volume of China’s local oscilloscope manufacturers achieved the lead for the first time.
From the table, we can find that the four mainstream oscilloscope manufacturers, Tektronix, Keysight, Puyuan and Dingyang, have over 70% of their export volume and over 90% of their export value. In 2017, the export volume of Tektronix accounted for 30.3%, and in 2019, the export volume of Dingyang accounted for 27.1%. For the first time in history, the export volume of Chinese local brand oscilloscopes exceeded that of overseas brands. In terms of export value, Tektronix ranks first, and the proportion of Chinese local oscilloscope brands in export value continues to rise. During the period from 2013 to 2019, the year-on-year trend of the total exports of the global mainstream oscilloscope manufacturers in the first half of the year is shown in the figure. The overall export volume of oscilloscopes has not changed much, but the share occupied by various manufacturers has changed greatly, and the competition is extremely fierce.
SIGLENT is an industry leader in the field of general electronic test and measurement instruments.
In 2002, the founder of Dingyang Technology began to focus on the research and development of oscilloscopes, and in 2005, the first digital oscilloscope was successfully developed. After years of development, Dingyang products have been extended to digital oscilloscopes, handheld oscilloscopes, function/arbitrary waveform generators, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, desktop multimeters, RF signal sources, DC power supplies, electronic loads and other basic test measurements. Instrument products. In 2007, Dingyang established a global strategic partnership with LeCroy, a leader in high-end oscilloscopes. In 2011, Dingyang developed into the leading digital oscilloscope manufacturer in China by sales. In 2014, Dingyang released China’s first smart oscilloscope SDS3000 series with a bandwidth of up to 1GHz, leading the transition from laboratory functional oscilloscopes to smart oscilloscopes. In 2017, Dingyang released a number of SDG6000X series pulse/arbitrary waveform generators whose parameters broke through the domestic technical bottleneck. In 2018, Dingyang launched the flagship high-end oscilloscope SDS5000X series; in the same year, it released the first domestic product SVA1000X integrating spectrum analyzer and vector network analyzer. At present, Dingyang has established subsidiaries in Cleveland, USA and Hamburg, Germany, and its products are exported to more than 70 countries around the world. SIGLENT has become a world-renowned brand of testing and measuring instruments.
