Mini-LED screen + self-developed chip, it is said that Apple’s new MacBook Pro 14/16-inch will be delayed

According to Taiwanese media Digitimes, the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros with mini-LED screens, which were previously rumored to be launched this year, may be delayed until 2022.

Apple first used mini-LED Display technology in the 12.9-inch iPad Pro released last month. Ahead of the new iPad Pro announcement, a Bloomberg report suggested that Apple had faced production issues related to display technology, so the same delay could affect the new MacBook Pro as well.

In addition, the Nikkei reported last month that Apple was delaying some Mac production until the second half of the year. Apple has warned that a global chip shortage will cost iPads and Macs about $3 billion to $4 billion in the third quarter.

Earlier today, it was reported that the production of Apple’s latest iPad Pro mini LED screen was blocked, and the delivery time was postponed to July.
